The city of Dobrovice is located about 50 km northeast of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, 6 km south of Mladá Boleslav, where the largest domestic car manufacturer has its seat.
The history of the city dates back to the 13th century, the first written mention is from the year 1249. In 1831, a sugar factory was established in the municipality, which is still in operation. In 1870 the city was connected to the railway network. The main reason for this connection was the steep increase in production in the municipal sugar factory and the associated supply of the plant and the distribution of the products at greater distances. In addition to the railway connection, the city is also very easily accessible by connecting to the most important long-distance connections. The distance to the D10 motorway is 6 km, the distance to the D11 motorway is 30 km.
After the year 1989 the company MOSOLF expanded its activities in the countries of the former Eastern bloc. In 1993, the subsidiary MOSOLF Automotive Logistik S.R.O. was founded, and in the same year the first service centre in the municipality of Čakovice – Vlkava began operations. In 1998, the Logistics Centre was inaugurated in Dobrovice, where the company has its headquarters until today.
