The company SAT Sächsische Autotransport und Service GmbH was founded in 1991 as a joint venture of Horst Mosolf GmbH & Co. KG and Internationale Spedition Rolf Schnellecke with 50% shares in Zwickau. In the year 1993 the ATC Autotechnik-Center GmbH was founded as a craft enterprise and wholly owned subsidiary of the SAT. As of 01.09.2017 all shares of SAT GmbH were transferred to MOSOLF SE & Co. KG.
The compound in Glauchau was rebuilt in the years 1993 to 1995 on the site of a former industrial complex. Subsequently, the headquarters of the company was moved there. A not insignificant role in the selection of the location played at this time the settlement of VW in Zwickau.
At the end of 2006, after extensive refurbishment, another storage area with up to 1,000 parking spaces was put into operation.
Back in 2011, the space lighting was converted to energy-saving LED technology. The SAT GmbH thus makes an active contribution to environmental protection.
